SINGLES - Schiavone Sails To Bogota Title, Keeps Final Roland Garros Dream Alive
Former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone turned back the clock at the Claro Open Colsanitas, winning her 600th career match and eighth title in Bogota.
Playing her final season on tour, 36-year-old Francesca Schiavone not only earned her eighth career WTA title at the Claro Open Colsanitas, but also gained valuable ranking points towards guaranteeing what would be her final French Open main draw appearance, outlasting No.4 seed Lara Arruabarrena, 6-4, 7-5.
"I'm very happy and emotional," she said in her on-court interview. "Today was a disaster match, but winning was the most important thing. Lara is improving a lot; I think she pulled a muscle and couldn't run as well that she could, but I thank God that I could win the last three games."
A former World No.4, Schiavone announced 2017 would be her last season, and came into the clay court season without winning a main draw match all year.
Just as she first did in 2010, when she won her maiden Grand Slam title at Roland Garros, the wildcard found some extra magic on the red clay of Colombia, shocking top seed and 2016 French Open semifinalist Kiki Bertens and No.3 seed Johanna Larsson en route to her first WTA final since the Rio Open last February.

DOUBLES
In the doubles final, Beatriz Haddad Maia and Nadia Podoroska ensured a wildcard sweep in Bogota as the pair edged past Veronica Cepede Royg and Magda Linette, 6-3, 7-6(4).
"It is very important to us play with the energy of the public here in Bogota," Haddad Maia said after the match. "It was a hard match, especially in the second set, but fortunately we won playing good tennis."

SINGLES - Valiant Vondrousova Brings Home Biel/Bienne Title
Teen qualifier Marketa Vondrousova captured her maiden WTA title at the inaugural Ladies Open Biel Bienne, edging past fellow first time finalist Anett Kontaveit.
Marketa Vondrousova's fairytale week took her to her first WTA title at the inaugural Ladies Open Biel Bienne; in the battle of first time finalists, Vondrousova knocked out Anett Kontaveit, 6-4, 7-6(6) in a thrilling championship match.
"It's the biggest win of my career, because I'd mostly played smaller tournaments, 25Ks and 60Ks," she said in her post-match press conference. "This was one of my first big tournaments, and I was injured in my left elbow for a lot of last year. I had to do a lot of fitness, which helped me become a better mover.
"Now I'm playing really great!"
Playing in just her second WTA main draw, Vondrousova came to Biel/Bienne on a roll from the ITF Circuit, having reached four finals and won two titles on that level to start the season.

DOUBLES - Biel/Bienne Doubles Champs Hsieh, Niculescu Enjoy Easter Egg Hunt
Before winning the inaugural Ladies Open Biel Bienne, Hsieh Su-Wei and Monica Niculescu went head-to-head on an egg hunt. Check out who won right here on wtatennis.com!
They say chemistry is key to any successful partnership, and the 2017 Ladies Open Biel Bienne Easter Egg Hunt certainly foreshadowed success for former No.1 Hsieh Su-Wei and partner Monica Niculescu.
The pair went head-to-head on a hunt across the city for chocolate eggs ahead of Easter Sunday - and their title win over Swiss Olympians Martina Hingis and Timea Bacsinszky; baskets in hand, the event gave way to friendly competition between the partners.

SINGLES - Johnson Fights Off Cramps, Bellucci For Houston Title
American globetrotter wins second title
Fourth seed Steve Johnson has covered plenty of ground in the past three weeks, traveling from the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Miami to a Davis Cup tie in Australia and then back stateside for the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston. But after countless miles in the air and in his legs on court this week, the American captured the title after fighting off cramps and a determined eighth seed Thomaz Bellucci 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(5).
"To win on U.S. soil and win when you're not feeling great is a testament to my willpower and competitiveness," said Johnson. "My body has just physically run out of gas after this week. Coming in from Australia kind of put me behind the eight ball and then the nerves of trying to close out the final, a lot of factors go into cramping. I was very fortunate to get out of that."

ATP Firsts: Steve Johnson
The American started battling in tournaments at a very early age
First moment I realised I loved tennis
I don't have a specific memory of when I was younger, but I've obviously played it my whole my life and have really enjoyed it almost every time I've stepped out on the court. It's a privilege and a passion for me, so I just feel gratitude to be able to play this sport as much as I can.

DOUBLES - Peralta/Zeballos Hold Off First-Time Pairing For Houston Title

Fourth seeds Julio Peralta and Horacio Zeballos won their fourth ATP World Tour team doubles title on Sunday, holding off the first-time pairing of Dustin Brown and Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 to take the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston.
Peralta of Chile and Zeballos of Argentina saved 10 of 12 break points in the one-hour and 37-minute final. The champions won the final four points of the Match Tie-break to claim their first championship trophy of the season.

SINGLES - Coric Saves 5 M.P., Completes Stunning Comeback For Maiden Title
20 year old overcomes Philipp Kohlschreiber in Marrakech
Comeback of the year? Borna Coric would think so. The #NextGenATP star completed a magical rally to take his maiden ATP World Tour title on Sunday at the Grand Prix Hassan II.
Coric overcame third seed Philipp Kohlschreiber 5-7, 7-6(3), 7-5 for the Marrakech crown, storming back from a break down in both the second and third sets and saving five championship points in dramatic fashion.
Coric is the third player from the current #NextGenATP contingent to lift an ATP World Tour trophy, joining Alexander Zverev (St. Petersburg 2016 & Montpellier 2017) and Karen Khachanov (Chengdu 2016). Runner-up in Marrakech last year, the Croatian fired 10 aces to defeat Kohlschreiber after two hours and 38 minutes. It was the longest final on the ATP World Tour this year.

DOUBLES - Pavic/Inglot Prevail For Marrakech Crown
Croatian/British pair win first team title
Dominic Inglot and Mate Pavic notched their first team title in their first tournament together, celebrating a 6-4, 2-6, 11-9 triumph over Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez in the Grand Prix Hassan II final on Saturday.
For Inglot, it was his seventh ATP World Tour title and the Brit's first of the season. His most recent crown had come in St. Petersburg last year with current World No. 1 Henri Kontinen. Pavic, meanwhile, claimed his sixth ATP World Tour doubles title and first since lifting the 's-Hertogenbosch trophy in 2016 with Michael Venus.

"This is the first we played together and we had a great week," said Inglot. "Mate played very well. The level was extremely high, almost like at a Masters 1000. We had to beat very strong teams this week and therefore the title means even more to us. I had a great time this week and enjoyed the city very much."

Tournament abbreviations

WC
= wildcard (given by the tournament to a player that could not get in on their ranking, or did not enter in time.

PR = protected ranking. This is used when a player has been out for a certain period of time due to injury (I think it's at least 6 months) and their ranking slips down to where they wouldn't get in on their current ranking.

Q = Qualifier.

A = Alternate. Used in qualifying when a player withdraws before their first match. Also used in main draw if there was no qualifying draw and the draw was full before the player withdrew.

LL = Lucky loser. A player that loses in qualifying (usually the final round unless none of the final round losers sign the lucky loser list) and gets into main draw when a main draw player withdraws before their first match.

SE = Special exempt. A player who signed into qualifying of a tournament, but was still playing in the previous week's tournament at the time the qualifying draw was done. This player can get a special exempt into the main draw the following week.
