RICH NEHER

Book Rich Neher for your next Tennis Convention, Annual Meeting, or Tennis Party
Born and raised in Germany, Rich has been involved in San Diego Tennis since 1993. From managing member events at the Bobby Riggs Tennis Club in Encinitas to becoming a Board member of the San Diego District Tennis Association (multi-cultural committee). In 1999 Rich formed the San Diego Tennis Network (SDTN), an adult tennis organization playing mostly in San Diego North County.

While working on the USTA Tennislink Team from 2006 until 2010, Rich moved to the San Fernando Valley (Sherman Oaks) for personal reasons and founded the California Social Tennis Network. He also created the R&R Tennis Media Group, a network of tennis consultants for Social Media, Fundraising, Grants, and Community Building consulting work.
Rich loves to speak to people who love the game of tennis, be it League Coordinators, Coaches, or Club members. He is very comfortable with large audiences, and two things separate him from other speakers:
1. Rich is a tennis player and a business person who happens to speak. He is not a “professional speaker,” a “motivational speaker,” or a “guru.” Many people have called him GURU for USTA Adult Leagues and NTRP Ratings, but he never saw himself as such.
2. Rich customizes each speech for the audience. He needs at least one face-to-face or telephone meeting before the event to make this work. A good speech requires understanding the group and the business they're in.
These are Rich's favorite topics, which can be combined to 30 / 45 / 60 min speeches that entertain and motivate.
- The hunt for Millenials - how tennis can capture them
- How to build a community of tennis players as a Tennis Network
- How to use Social Media to achieve your goals in the tennis community
