Lots of clubs and tennis professionals have replied and participated in our Quick Tennis Survey. Thank you, very much. And thank you all for the kind words of praise for our newsletter and the suggestions for future content. Here are just a few notes concerning the survey replies below.

Question 1: Over 56% of our readers own a private club or manage / work in one. A little more than a quarter work in public tennis facilities.

Question 2: Almost 40 % of all participants are at facilities with between 6 and 10 courts. Almost 70% of the facilities have between 6 and 20 courts.

Question 3: Many of the replies left us to guess what the real answer was. When a reply read 4, for instance, we assumed it meant 4 men and no women. We had to guess almost half of the real intent. Answers like "90000000" or "Had 1, she moved on to a Director's Position and now looking to hire one." didn't really help although we assumed the person in question last year was the only female pro. But the participant failed to tell us how many male pro's that 13 courts private club has. Tough choices had to be made and next time we'll make some changes to that question. A first analysis seems to show that a large number of facilities do not employ any female pro's.

Question 4: The takeaway here is that almost 80% of the facilities that replied doing either the same or better / much better business right now compared to 2015. Very encouraging. Chances are the facilities that do better or much better know how to let their members and students have a good time and show that the sport can be fun each and every day of the week!

Question 5: Great suggestions for future articles in TENNIS CLUB BUSINESS, such as "Why companies give such big margins to online retailers." Or, "Latest video equipment" and "How to get funds to build an indoor facility." We'll take some of those suggestions to build interesting content in upcoming issues.
